Day 18 - 놀람 표현하기

I was surprised to... : ~해서 놀랐어

I can't believe... : ~를 믿을 수가 없어

You wouldn't believe... : 넌 ~를 못 믿을 거야

I was shocked... : ~하다니 충격적이었어

No wonder... : ~하는 건 당연해



I was surprised to... : ~해서 놀랐어


I was surprised to hear the news.

- 그 소식 듣고 놀랐어.


I was surprised to find him there.

- 그 사람이 거기 있는 걸 보고 놀랐지.


I was surprised to see the results.

- 결과를 보고 놀라버렸어.


I was surprised to be selected.

- 제가 선택돼서 놀랐습니다.



I can't believe... : ~를 믿을 수가 없어


I can't believe you ate that.

- 네가 저걸 먹었다니 믿을 수 없어.


I can't believe today is already Friday.

- 오늘이 벌써 금요일이라니 믿기지 않아.


I can't believe this is happening.

- 이런 일이 일어나다니 말도 안 돼.


I can't believe it's over between us.

- 우리 사이가 끝났다는 게 믿어지지 않아



You wouldn't believe... : 넌 ~를 못 믿을 거야


You wouldn't believe who I saw today.

- 내가 오늘 누굴 봤는지 넌 못 믿을 거야.


You wouldn't believe what just happened.

- 방금 무슨 일이 있었는지 넌 못 믿을 거야.


You wouldn't believe what I just heard.

- 내가 방금 무슨 얘기를 들었는지 넌 못 믿을 거야


You wouldn't believe Jack's temper.

- 잭의 성질을 못 믿을 거야.




I was shocked... : ~하다니 충격적이었어


I was shocked to find out about the scandal.

- 그 스캔들을 알고는 충격 받았어.


I was shocked that I got an F.

- 내가 F학점을 받다니 충격적이었어.


I was shocked when she told me that.

- 그 애가 그 말을 했을때 난 충격 받았어.


I was shocked that she had a bady.

- 그 여자에게 아이가 있었다니 충격적이었어.



No wonder... : ~하는 건 당연해


No wonder you're mad.

- 네가 화낼 만도 하네.


No wonder she hates him.

- 그 애가 그 남자를 싫어하는 건 당연해.


No wonder Jenny flunked the test.

(flunk 실패하다, 낙제하다)

- 제니가 시험에 낙제한 건 당연한 일이야.


No wonder you didn't go.

- 네가 안 갔을 만도 하네.
